Intellectual Property and Content Rights
Last updated: 3 November 2026
This page explains who holds the rights in the content of quietroseproject.com, what you may and may not do with that content, what rights you keep in what you write, and how to tell us if you believe your own rights have been infringed. It applies alongside the Website Terms of Use. In this page, “we” and “us” mean the person trading as Quiet Rose, and anyone acting on that person’s behalf in running the shop.
1. Content on the Site
The texts, extracts from the book, images, videos, layout, graphics and other material on the Site are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. They belong to us or are used with the permission of, or under licence from, their owners. Not everything on the Site belongs to us, and a licence we hold to use something does not pass to you.
The name Quiet Rose is used as a trading name. We do not state here that it is a registered trade mark. Please do not use it, or anything confusingly similar, in a way that suggests a connection with us or our endorsement. The names of other organisations mentioned on the Site, such as Stripe, Cloudflare and Google, belong to their respective owners, and their mention does not suggest any endorsement.
What the images and videos on the Site represent is explained in Product Information and Allergens.
2. What you may do
You may do the following without asking us, as long as you do not remove any notice of ownership.
- View the Site and read it on any of your devices.
- Print or save a page for your own personal, non-commercial use, including keeping a copy of these legal pages and your order emails.
- Share a link to a public page of the Site.
- Quote a short passage for review, comment or criticism, where the law allows this, with a clear reference to Quiet Rose.
3. What you may not do
Unless we have agreed in writing, or the law expressly allows it, you must not do any of the following.
- Copy, republish, sell or distribute content from the Site, including our translations of the poems, book extracts, images and videos.
- Use the content for commercial purposes, such as advertising, or on another shop or social media account.
- Present our content as your own, or as a depiction of your own product or service.
- Alter the content or remove information about its ownership.
- Collect the content in bulk with automated tools, or use it to train automated systems.
4. The poems and the book
The poems on the Site are by classic Ukrainian authors or are traditional folk songs. As far as we know, the original texts are in the public domain, and anyone may use them. Our selection, our translations and the way we present them belong to us and are not free to reuse. Extracts from the book Quiet Rose are also ours. A printed poem or card that travels with a gift belongs physically to the person who receives it, who may keep it, frame it or pass it on. A book contribution gives no right over the book.
5. What you write
You keep whatever rights you have in your note, your sender name, your courier instructions and your messages to us. We do not claim ownership of them.
You give us permission to use what you enter only so far as is needed to carry out the order or deal with your message. This includes copying the note onto a card by hand or in print, and sharing it with those who prepare and deliver the order. We do not publish notes or use them in marketing, and the permission ends when the data is erased, as the Privacy Policy explains.
Please do not enter text that you do not have the right to use. Quoting a short line from a poem or a song in a personal note is common, but you remain responsible for what you write.
6. If you believe your rights have been infringed
We take rights seriously, and if a mistake has been made we would like to put it right. If you believe that something on the Site infringes your copyright or other rights, please write to support@quietroseproject.com and include the following.
- Your name and contact details, and, if you are acting for someone else, your authority to do so.
- The work or right concerned.
- The exact page and item on the Site.
- Why you believe that the item infringes your rights.
6.1 What we will do
We reply within 2 business days. Where we consider that a claim appears to be well founded, we will remove or change the item, or we will explain why we believe that we are entitled to use it. This process does not limit any right you have under the law.
7. Asking for permission
If you would like to use something from the Site in a way this page does not allow, please ask through the contact page or at support@quietroseproject.com. Permission is given only in writing, and may not be available for material we use under licence from others.
8. General
Nothing on this page limits any use that the law allows regardless of permission, such as lawful quotation, or any mandatory right you have. The Website Terms of Use contain the provisions on governing law and changes to terms, which also apply here.
